The Best I’ve Ever Read

By Terry Hunefeld, broker, U.S. Home and Realty Corp., Grand Rapids, Mich.

The best business book I’ve ever read relates to systems. It’s The E-Myth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber.

It’s been lauded by business experts around the world as being the book for entrepreneurial success (the E stands for entrepreneurial).

In real estate you can’t work 25 hours each day. But you can cease having a life of your own. The business can (and will!) eat you alive unless you gain control of your time. Gerber teaches you how to systematize your business so that your business works for you rather than you working for your business.

The book shows how to set up systems that enable you to increase your earnings, work less and have more time to enjoy life, and ensure that each client and customer has an excellent experience.

The E-Myth Revisited is the best book I’ve ever read in helping me organize and grow my real estate business. Without it, I wouldn’t have been able to do 176 transactions in 1995, which resulted in gross commissions of $349,476.50.

The E-Myth Revisited is published by HarperBusiness, 800/331-3761; $15.
