Valerie Faltas has drawn from her law school experience and time working for the Los Angeles County Assessor’s Office to write a book unveiling ways home owners can save money on their property taxes. It’s called The Property Tax Little Black Book and it outlines how assessments and appraisals work. It also comes with a workbook to help walk the reader through the process. There is a California version, too.
